TOPIC: SEEK FIRST
Scripture: “But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.” – Matthew 6:33 (AMPC)
When you receive Jesus as your Savior, the first thing He wants to give you is righteousness. He takes your sin and gives you His righteousness. God hates for His children to be tormented with ungodly feelings, questioning whether something is wrong with us because we don’t like what others like or because we can’t do what they do. He gave us His righteousness so we don’t have to believe those thoughts.
You can stop listening to Satan’s lies and say instead: “I am in right standing with God.” You can stop thinking, what is wrong with me? and start letting God show you the good things that He has placed in you. Believe and speak, “I have right standing, not wrong standing. I have rightness through Christ when I stand before God.”
Prayer Starter: Thank you, Father, for making me right with You and for helping me block out the enemy’s voice. In Jesus’ name, amen.
